What is the difference between pine and plywood?

The main difference between pine and plywood is that pine is solid timber, while plywood is an engineered wooden material made of birch layers.

  • Plywood has a blonde color with visible layers on the edges.
  • Pine has a light, wooden color with a natural wooden texture.

Both pine and plywood offer strong and sturdy constructions. However, birch plywood, being hardwood, is stronger and more durable than pine.

Do plywood accessories, such as a bookshelf, hanging tray, or staircase, work with pine beds?

Yes, they do! Our plywood accessories are fully compatible with pine beds.

Can the ladder for the bunk bed or loft bed be attached to either side?

Yes, the ladder can be attached to either side of the bed. There’s no need to specify this when ordering.

Can be a bunk bed, a loft bed, or a triple bed converted into separate beds once kids grow out of their bunk bed?

Certainly, our bunk beds, loft beds, and triple beds are designed with versatility in mind. When your kids outgrow the need for a shared sleeping arrangement, you can easily convert these beds into separate ones. To do so, you'll need to purchase a set of additional legs, which are specifically designed for this purpose. This simple modification gives you the flexibility to adapt the beds to your changing needs, ensuring that they continue to serve your family for years to come.

What is the weight limit for the top bunk bed or loft bed?

Our top bunk beds and loft beds are built to be exceptionally strong and sturdy, with a weight limit that exceeds 200 kilograms. This robust construction means that our bunk beds are not only suitable for children but also designed to accommodate adults comfortably.

What mattress thickness do you recommend for the bunk beds?

When purchasing mattresses, please keep in mind that the thicker the mattress, the less clearance you’ll have, which also reduces the height of the safety rails. For bunk beds designed for kids, the optimal mattress thickness is up to 20 cm to ensure both comfort and safety.

Can add-ons such as trundler beds or drawers purchased separately later on?

Yes, you can purchase add-ons such as drawers and a trundler bed separately at a later time. However, there are some considerations:

  • Drawers: You can buy drawers separately, but please keep in mind that you will need to cover the shipping cost for this additional parcel. This allows you to add extra storage to your bunk bed or bed as needed.
  • Trundler Bed: If you plan to purchase a trundler bed separately, it's important to note that different front legs is required for your bunk bed or bed to ensure a proper fit. This adjustment is necessary to accommodate the trundler bed effectively.

What mattress thickness is required for the trundler bed?

To ensure that the trundler bed fits properly underneath our bunk beds or beds, the recommended mattress thickness should not exceed 15 cm. Keeping the mattress within this thickness limit ensures that it can easily slide and fit underneath the bunk bed or bed frame, allowing for a convenient and space-saving sleeping solution.
